About StaySchengen
StaySchengen is a free calculator for the Schengen 90/180 day rule, with an ETIAS checker alongside it. No account, no fee, available in 10 languages. It exists because our founder lost track of his own days in Europe and figured the fix should be free for everyone who crosses borders for a living, or for the love of it.
The site is built and maintained by Bliss Startup, a company that makes cross-border business simpler.
The person behind it
Tim Marting is the founder of Bliss Startup and Citizen Remote, a relocation platform for remote workers and digital nomads. He holds an Executive MBA, and he builds products for people who move across borders because he is one of them.
Tim started in Kansas City, then spent multiple years living with residency in Australia, then Spain, then Iceland, working and running companies from each. Not passing through as a tourist, but opening bank accounts, filing the paperwork, learning how a place actually works from the inside.
That road left him with a simple conviction: living somewhere changes you in a way that reading about it never will. A book or an article can describe a place. Waking up in it, working in it, and figuring it out day by day gives you a perspective nothing else can award you.
The visas, the day counts, and the forms are the toll booth on that road. Every product Tim builds, StaySchengen included, is an attempt to make the toll smaller so more people take the trip.
